About This Site

The Bible Study Tools is a small, independent review site for people who study scripture at home or lead a small group. We test the everyday supplies that make a study habit easier to keep: journaling Bibles with wide margins, highlighters and gel pens that will not bleed through thin pages, Bible tabs, protective Bible covers and carrying cases, and guided study journals. Every review is written from real use at a kitchen table, and we tell you what wore out as plainly as what held up.

Using Study Supplies Safely

Bible paper is very thin, and even products sold as no-bleed can ghost or bleed through on some editions. Always test a highlighter, gel pen or paint on a blank page at the back of your Bible before marking scripture, and let ink dry fully before closing the book.

Pen caps, small tabs and loose bookmark charms are choking hazards. Keep supplies out of reach of small children, and supervise young readers using markers or adhesive tabs.

Thin pages tear easily. Peel adhesive tabs slowly and at a low angle if you need to reposition them, and never force a zipper or snap on a cover that is overfilled. A full Bible bag can be heavy, so switch shoulders or use a handle on long walks.

Store Bibles and journals away from heat, damp and direct sun, which can warp covers and fade ink. Study in good light and take breaks if your eyes tire. Nothing on this site is pastoral, medical or professional advice; talk to your own pastor or a professional about questions of faith, health or wellbeing.
